2022 GMC Terrain Maintenance Schedule
GMC trucks and SUVs offer drivers years of dependable performance. To keep your 2022 GMC Terrain in the best working condition, it’s important to maintain it properly by following the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule. The certified service technicians at Jim Cook Chevrolet, the Asheville GMC dealer, will care for your Terrain and ensure it’s operating properly and safely.
Our service technicians will perform several services during your Terrain’s scheduled maintenance visit, depending on your SUV’s mileage. They’ll inspect components and replace them as needed, including the oil, fluids, wipers and tires.
You’ll find your vehicle’s maintenance schedule in your owner’s manual. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jim Cook Chevrolet, your Asheville GMC dealer.
GMC recommends bringing your Terrain in for routine maintenance at 7,500-mile intervals. Here are some highlights of your 2022 GMC Terrain’s maintenance visits.
7,500 Miles
Your 2022 GMC Terrain will remind you when your vehicle is within 600 miles of its next scheduled oil change. The certified service technicians will change the Terrain’s oil and oil filter during this service visit. They’ll also inspect and rotate the tires and perform a multi-point vehicle inspection. Other inspections performed during this visit include the brakes, the parking brake, engine coolant, washer fluid, fuel system, engine air cleaner filter, exhaust system, power steering and more. These services will be repeated every 7,500 miles.
22,500 Miles
At the 22,500-mile mark, the service technicians will repeat the services of the 7,500-mile service visit. In addition, they’ll replace the cabin air filter.
30,000 and 37,500 Miles
These maintenance visits include the services of the 7,500-mile visit.
45,000 Miles
The 45,000-mile maintenance visit includes the services of the 7,500-mile visit. Additionally, the service technicians will replace the engine air cleaner filter, the cabin air filter, and the transfer case fluid (for front-wheel-drive models). They’ll also check the evaporative control system.
75,000 Miles
During the 75,000-mile service, the technician will change the engine’s oil and oil filter, check the vehicle’s tire inflation and wear, and rotate the tires.
100,000 Miles
At the 100,000-mile mark, the service technician will replace the engine air filter, the automatic transmission fluid and filter, and the spark plugs. They’ll also check the ignition wires, the fuel system, and the exhaust system for signs of damage.
It’s a good idea to check your engine’s oil level whenever you stop for gas. If your GMC Terrain’s oil level is low, top it off with the right type of oil. You’ll find that information in the owner’s manual but call the Jim Cook Chevrolet Service Center if you need help. We’re also glad to be of assistance.
Check your vehicle’s tires for wear once a month and make sure they’re properly inflated. Driving on under- or over-inflated tires can be hazardous, and it may shorten the tires’ life.
