If you’ve been to a dealership like the Spruce Pine Chevrolet dealer, you may have seen a GMC truck called the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited. If you’ve been wondering about the Limited model, we’ll explain. The 2022 Sierra 1500 Limited is essentially a rebranded 2021 Sierra 1500. GM has offered this model to keep the Sierra 1500 available while it prepares to release the redesigned 2022 Sierra 1500. We’ll examine the different GMC Sierra 1500 Limited trim levels and see what each one brings to the table.

GMC Sierra 1500 Limited Trim Levels
According to the Spruce Pine Chevy dealer, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited is available in six trim levels: Pro, SLE, Elevation, SLT, AT4 and Denali. Buyers can choose from three cab styles.

GMC Sierra 1500 Limited Pro
Under the hood of the base Sierra 1500 Limited Pro is a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine producing 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque. This powerplant is connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Standard features include 17-inch steel wheels, vinyl or cloth seats, LED headlights, a tilt-only steering wheel, semi-automatic climate control, vinyl flooring, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch touchscreen and two USB ports. With the Double Cab or Crew Cab, the Pro also gets power windows, power door locks, and an audio system with six speakers.

GMC Sierra 1500 Limited SLE
The Sierra 1500 Limited SLE starts with the Pro’s features and adds an automatic-locking rear differential, body-colored door handles, keyless entry and ignition, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Also standard is LED bed lighting, tinted rear windows, cruise control, a MultiPro tailgate, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, and two additional USB ports.

GMC Sierra 1500 Limited Elevation
The Sierra 1500 Limited Elevation comes with all the features mentioned above, plus 20-inch wheels, LED foglights and a remote locking tailgate.

GMC Sierra 1500 Limited SLT
The Sierra 1500 Limited SLT is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 engine generating 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SLT also has an available 6.3-liter V8 developing 420 hp and 460 lb-ft, paired to a 10-speed automatic. Standard features for the SLT include 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, chrome exterior trim, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated and power-folding mirrors, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a trailer brake controller, trailer hitch guidance assist, and a 120-volt power outlet.

GMC Sierra 1500 Limited AT4
The Sierra 1500 Limited AT4 employs a 3.0-liter inline-six turbodiesel powerplant good for 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine is coupled with a ten-speed automatic. Buyers can get the AT4 with the available 6.2-liter V8 engine. The AT4 comes with four-wheel drive with low-range gearing, a unique off-road suspension with a 2-inch lift and monotube shock absorbers, Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Mud Terrain tires, hill descent control, skidplates and recovery hooks.

GMC Sierra 1500 Limited Denali
The range-topping Sierra 1500 Limited Denali is equipped with the 5.3-liter V8 engine. It starts with the features of the SLT and adds a two-speed transfer case (four-wheel-drive models), 20-inch wheels, an adaptive suspension, ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, a power-sliding rear window, side steps, a digital instrument cluster, a Bose premium stereo setup, and wireless phone charging. The Denali also gets parking sensors and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
