There are three different engines to choose from. The base engine is a 1.5-liter turbo-four that generates 170 horsepower and 203 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Those looking for a bit more power can choose the 2.0-liter turbo-four unit that produces 252 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is standard on the Denali trim and available on the SLE and SLT trim. Also available is a 1.6-liter turbo-four that puts out 137 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque. This engine is extremely fuel efficient, with an EPA-estimated 32 mpg combined with front- or all-wheel drive.*

The 2019 GMC Terrain’s attractive styling sets it apart from its rivals. The Terrain’s refined grille and signature C-shaped LED lighting make a bold statement. Those who want a more aggressive look can choose the all-new Black Edition, which comes with 19-inch black wheels and blacked-out exterior trim. A Chrome package is also on offer.
